Things are looking promising for Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
For the second day in a row, the superstar quarterback was a full participant in practice, Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday.
An important takeaway from Thursday's sessions was that Burrow took all of his reps with first team-offence, something he hasn't done since he suffered a Grade 3 turf toe injury in September.
Burrow obtained the injury in a Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he required surgery and was given a three-month recovery timeline.
Meanwhile Joe Flacco, who had been the team's starting quarterback since being acquired from the Cleveland Browns in Week 6, was once again limited as he manages a shoulder injury to his throwing arm.
Before his sudden return to practice, Burrow's targeted return seemed to be against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13.
The Bengals said they will take as much time as they can before deciding if Burrow will be the starting quarterback, but for now, only time will tell if he will be ready to play come Sunday against the New England Patriots.
