Joe Burrow took an important step toward returning to the lineup Wednesday.
The Cincinnati Bengals listed the superstar quarterback as a full participant in practice for the first time since he suffered a Grade 3 turf toe injury in September.
Burrow suffered the injury in a Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and, after surgery, was given a three-month recovery timeline.
Joe Flacco has been the starting quarterback for the Bengals since being acquired from the Cleveland Browns in Week 6.
However, Flacco was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice as he manages a shoulder injury to his throwing arm.
If all goes well, Burrow can make his return this Sunday against the New England Patriots, one week before his targeted return against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13.
