The Cincinnati Bengals have decided to cut ties with running back Zack Moss.
The 27-year-old running back has been absent from training camp while working his way back from a broken neck.
Moss suffered the injury last season in Week 1 but was not put on the injured list until after Week 8, after he lost feeling in his fingers. Tests revealed that he had broken his neck in three places.
“I started losing feeling in my arm,” Moss told The Athletic. “Coming out of that game, I pretty much played that game with seven fingers.”
In eight games last season, Moss had 74 carries for 242 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bengals agreed to a restructured deal with Moss after initially signing a $3.5 million deal back in 2024.
Moss has put up 3,028 scrimmage yards and 21 touchdowns in 61 games over his career with the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts and Bengals.
