The Buffalo Bills have officially ruled out corner Rasul Douglas for their wild card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday afternoon.
Douglas suffered a knee injury in the regular season finale on Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins in the second quarter. He did not practice all week.
Since being traded from the Green Bay Packers at the trade deadline, Douglas has performed well for the Bills, recording 29 total tackles, snagging four interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
Douglas joins receiver Gabe Davis safety Taylor Rapp, and linebacker Tyrel Dodson as a noticeable absence that the Bills will certainly feel in a cold winter game in Highmark Stadium, where temperatures are expected to dip to minus celsius, with winds ranging from 13-26 kilometres per hour.
With Douglas' absence, Christian Benford could be slated for a larger role in Buffalo's secondary.
