NFL fans will be treated to a rare Tuesday night matchup this week as the Buffalo Bills take on the Tennessee Titans as 3.5-point road favourites on the Week 5 NFL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon, the NFL was forced to postpone this weekend's game at Nissan Stadium until Tuesday night as the Titans continued to struggle with a recent widespread outbreak of COVID-19.

As many as 24 players and staff have reportedly tested positive for the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Tennessee's Week 4 clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers was also postponed until later this month, and with the team's facilities being shuttered since September 29, the Titans have enjoyed little on-field activity since their 31-30 win in Minnesota back in Week 3.

While the layoff has allowed Titans players unaffected by the outbreak to enjoy some rest and recovery from early-season injuries, it is unclear how it will impact the team's play on Tuesday night. The Titans were enjoying a steady start before seeing their season thrown into turmoil, posting wins in each of their first three outings. However, Tennessee has been far from dominant in the early going, with their three victories coming by just six combined points.

The Titans' narrow victories have been a disappointment for bettors. Tennessee remains winless against the spread so far this season, and has also failed to cover in each of its past three home dates, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

Currently enjoying their hottest start since 1991, the Bills travel to Music City for Tuesday's game set as -190 road favourites on the moneyline at online sports betting sites. Buffalo is coming off a 30-23 win in Las Vegas last week, covering as 3-point chalk to improve to 3-1 ATS on the season.

Josh Allen has emerged as a legitimate NFL quarterback during Buffalo's fast start. The 24-year-old sits second among NFL quarterbacks with 331.5 passing yards per game through his first four outings, while also connecting on 12 total scoring tosses. In addition to emerging as a legitimate NFL MVP candidate, Allen's steady play has also been key to the Bills' steady climb on the odds to win the AFC East, where they are now set as -325 betting favourites.

While these two teams have combined to score 129 total points over their past two outings, past meetings have tended to be low-scoring affairs. The Bills have taken three straight from Tennessee, with the total points failing to top 27 in any of those contests. That was capped by Buffalo's 14-7 win at Nissan Stadium in October of last year.
