Bills star CB Tre'Davious White out for season with knee injury

The Buffalo Bills suffered a major blow as star cornerback Tre'Davious White is out for the year after suffering a torn ACL in a win over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday.

White was covering Saints receiver Marquez Callaway when he went down with the injury.

The two-time Pro Bowler is one of the top players on Buffalo's No. 1-ranked defence.

Dane Jackson replaced the 2017 first-round pick (27th overall) in the game on Thursday.

The Bills (7-4) are tied for first in the AFC East with the New England Patriots.

The two teams clash in the Monday nighter on Dec. 6 in Orchard Park, N.Y.
