The Arizona Cardinals have activated defensive lineman J.J. Watt from the injured reserve in time for Monday night's wild card playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Watt, who is a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year award winner, sustained a shoulder injury on Oct. 24 and was expected to miss the remainder of the season.

The 32-year-old joined Arizona as a free agent this season after spending the first decade of his career with the Houston Texans.

Watt recorded five tackles for a loss plus one sack in seven games prior to the injury.

Arizona finished the regular season with an 11-6 record to finish fifth in the NFC and visit the No. 4 seed Rams (12-5).
