Kansas City Chiefs receiver Kadarius Toney made the record books Sunday after completing the longest punt return in Super Bowl history.
Toney's 65-yard return during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl LVII broke the record set by Denver Broncos' Jordan Norwood, who had a 61-yard punt return during Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
The 24-year-old Toney, who had caught a touchdown pass earlier in the quarter that gave Kansas City the lead, was finally tackled at the five-yard line.
Skyy Moore then caught a four-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes and Harrison Butker kicked the extra point to extend Kansas City's lead to 35-27 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chiefs acquired Toney in a trade with the New York Giants who parted ways with their round-round pick from the 2021 NFL Draft for a third-and second-round pick.
