The battle for the top of the AFC South division standings will heat up on Sunday when the Indianapolis Colts host the Tennessee Titans as 3-point favourites on the Week 12 NFL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
The two teams sit deadlocked with identical 7-3 straight-up records, but thanks to a decisive 34-17 win in Tennessee two weeks ago, Indianapolis holds the edge on tiebreakers going into Sunday afternoon’s matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium.
With their offence firing on all cylinders, averaging 32 points per game, the Colts have tallied SU wins in four of five outings, capped by last weekend’s 34-31 win over Green Bay. Indianapolis has produced mixed results at the sportsbooks, going 3-3 against the spread over its past six games, according to the OddsShark NFL Database. However, the Colts have been reliable as small chalk, going 5-1 ATS in their past six while favoured by fewer than four points.
The Titans will be looking to tally consecutive SU wins for the first time since Week 6 after escaping with a 30-24 victory in Baltimore last weekend. Tennessee has fallen to SU and ATS defeat in three of its past five contests, but has claimed victory in two of its last three visits to Indianapolis, with each of those wins coming while pegged as a betting underdog.
Elsewhere on the Week 12 odds at online betting sites, the Buffalo Bills aim to solidify their grasp on top spot in the AFC East as they host rookie Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers as 5.5-point favourites. The Miami Dolphins look to keep pace with Buffalo as they visit the winless New York Jets favoured by seven points, while over in the NFC West the Los Angeles Rams host the faltering San Francisco 49ers as 7-point favourites.
The Bills return to action after enjoying a bye last weekend, and sport a one-game lead over Miami. Buffalo has been steady at home, posting wins in two straight, and going 4-1 SU on the season. Herbert has emerged as the favourite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honours during an impressive debut, but his exploits have not been enough to lift the Chargers out of their continued funk on the road, where they have lost four straight and 10 of 14 overall since the end of the 2018 season.
With wins in their past two outings, the Rams now sit alongside Seattle at 7-3 in the NFC West standings but hold the advantage on tiebreakers over the Seahawks, giving them control of first place in the division. Conversely, the reigning divisional champion 49ers travel to Los Angeles riding a three-game SU losing streak.
