Some good news came with some very bad news for the Indianapolis Colts.
Cornerback Sauce Gardner will return Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars after missing the past three games with a calf injury, head coach Shane Steichen said Friday, according to multiple reports.
However, defensive lineman DeForest Buckner will be placed on season-ending injury reserve after aggravating a neck injury that requires surgery.
Gardner was acquired from the New York Jets at the trade deadline, but has appeared in just three games with the Colts.
Buckner, a Pro-Bowler, has 47 tackles and four sacks this season.
The Colts are two games behind the Houston Texans for the final AFC wild-card spot with two weeks to go.
