A quarterback carousel is spinning in Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Colts plan to start different quarterbacks during their first two weeks of pre-season, head coach Shane Steichen announced on Tuesday.
Anthony Richardson will get the start in the team's pre-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 7, while Daniel Jones is QB1 in their second game versus the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 16.
Richardson, drafted No.4 overall in 2023, has been electric on the run, rushing for 635 yards and ten touchdowns in 15 regular season games. His struggles in the passing game, eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2024, may have played a role in the Colts signing 2019 first-rounder Daniel Jones to a one-year deal in March.
Jones, who played six years with the New York Giants, compiled a 24-44-1 regular-season record.
