Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans will line up against a familiar foe on Sunday afternoon.
Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore has been cleared to return for their NFC wild-card clash with the Buccaneers, head coach Dan Quinn announced Friday.
The two Pro Bowlers have built quite the history dating all the way back to 2017 during Lattimore’s time with the New Orleans Saints, where the divisional rivals' one-on-one matchups have spilled into fisticuffs on multiple occasions.
“That’s a real-life beef,” Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan told Fox Sports in 2022.
Their latest altercation came in Week 2 of the 2022 season, when Tom Brady was at the helm of the Buccaneers, the two were ejected after Evans shoved Lattimore to the ground when jawing over a non-pass interference call. Evans was handed a one-game suspension.
Lattimore faced-off against Evans' Bucs earlier this season, before he was traded from the Saints to the Commanders at the trade deadline in November.
Evans nabbed just two receptions for 34 yards and no touchdowns during that bout, but his Buccaneers dismantled the Saints, 51-27.
This will mark the 13th time in their careers they will take the same field, in those contests Evans has recorded 309 yards and three touchdowns.
