The Washington Commanders are cutting ties with a veteran cornerback.
Marshon Lattimore has been released before the new league year begins on March 11, the team announced Friday.
Lattimore, 29, has spent the past season-and-a-half in Washington after a deadline trade from the New Orleans Saints in 2024.
In nine games last season amid injury, the 2017 first-round pick had one interception, one fumble recovery and seven pass deflections.
For his 108-game career, the Ohio State product has 16 interceptions and five forced fumbles.
Washington will save $18.5 million in cap space with the move, per Schefter.
