Dallas is getting back its all-pro cornerback.
The Cowboys returned Trevon Diggs to the active roster, and he will play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, the team announced on Saturday.
Diggs, who last played in the Cowboys' 30-27 loss against the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 12, has missed a combined seven games while dealing with two injuries.
Several weeks ago, the 27-year-old suffered a concussion in an incident at home, while also dealing with soreness in his knee, keeping him out since Week 7.
The 2021 interception leader has played in just six games this season with 18 tackles and zero interceptions. He had 11 picks in 2021.
Diggs makes his return just as fellow Pro Bowl cornerback DaRon Bland was placed on season-ending IR with a foot injury.
With Bland out, Diggs will likely regain his role as No. 1 cornerback.
