The Miami Dolphins are adding some Canadian talent to their wide receiver room.
Miami claimed Peterborough, Ont., native Jared Wayne off waivers from the Houston Texans on Tuesday, the team announced.
The Dolphins waived WR Ryan Miller in a corresponding move.
Wayne, 26, had four catches for 65 yards in five games with the Texans this season.
The six-foot-three, 213-pound wide receiver was cut loose by Houston after the team traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Wayne should have an opportunity with the Dolphins, as the team is still searching for consistent pass catchers for quarterback Malik Willis.
