I’m excited about sharing my top-five sleeper picks to help out your fantasy football team heading into Week 10. I target a quarterback, wide receiver, tight end, running back and defence that are either readily available on waivers or contrarian plays in DFS contests. Good luck, and remember to keep an eye out for any COVID-19 player announcements that pop up.

Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Panthers
Yahoo! League ownership = 46%
Draft Kings salary = $6,100
I’m really liking Teddy Bridgewater against the Buccaneers’ heralded defence that may not be as bulletproof as once thought. Tampa Bay’s allowing the 13th-most passing yards per attempt, and Bridgewater has been excellent in varying his ball distribution. DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel and Mike Davis are all viable targets. What should force the Panthers to the air even more is that the Bucs are giving up the fewest average yards per carry on the ground.
Coming off his second 300-plus yard passing game in a month, Bridgewater was impressive versus a solid Chiefs defence and has definitely evolved into more than just a game manager. In fact, the former Vikings first-round draft pick is a fantasy QB-11. That’s ahead of Lamar Jackson, Carson Wentz, Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger.
Bridgewater is a strong streaming option and DFS contrarian play for this weekend.
Kareem Hunt, RB, Browns
Yahoo! League ownership = 98%
Draft Kings salary = $6,700
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about what to do with Kareem Hunt since Nick Chubb is likely to return from an MCL sprain this Sunday. The former NFL rushing champion’s best fantasy production in 2020 has actually come with Chubb in the lineup where he’s averaged 16.43-FPTs per game and scored all three of his rushing touchdowns.
Consider Hunt a solid RB-2 versus a Texans defence that’s giving up the most rushing yards per four quarters in the league. The northeast Ohio native is also a terrific contrarian play on DFS contests with expected low ownership levels.
Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles
Yahoo! League ownership = 71%
Draft Kings salary = $4,200
Dallas Goedert is an absolute steal for DFS lineups at a $4,200 price tag, and could still be sitting on your waiver wire. Goedert missed four weeks and was eased back into action on Nov. 1 before getting some extra time during Philadelphia’s bye to come back fully healthy. He’s definitely a TE-1 facing a middle-of-the-pack Giants defence even with the Eagles’ wide receivers returning from injury.
We know Carson Wentz loves utilizing his tight ends and Goedert is locked in as a favourite that should once again demand a respectable target share.
Nelson Agholor, WR, Raiders
Yahoo! League ownership = 26%
Draft Kings salary = $4,900
There’s not enough respect being given to Nelson Agholor this season, especially since he’s delivered four touchdowns over his past five outings. As a WR-3/Flex choice, Agholor offers tremendous value in games where he’s found the end zone, averaging 16.07-FPTs from October onwards. The chemistry with Derek Carr is undeniable as Las Vegas gets set to host a Broncos secondary allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers.
Minnesota Vikings, Defence
Yahoo! League ownership = 46%
Draft Kings salary = $2,600
If you stream defences then the Vikings check all the boxes for both season-long and as a bargain for DFS. All the DST attention will be on Chicago when the two square off on Monday Night Football, but how can we overlook the Bears’ unproductive offence?
Chicago ranks 29th in points scored per game at 19.8, dead last in average rushing yards (82.3), 20th in passing, and tied for eighth in turnovers. Minnesota’s defence came to life this past weekend with three interceptions and a pair of sacks in their 34-20 romp of the Lions. If that effort continues, despite their thin secondary, then the Vikings could be a nice surprise against an NFC North rival that’s given up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing defences.
