As if things couldn't get worse for the New York Giants.
Not long after losing Jaxson Dart to a knee injury during Monday night's primetime loss to the Los Angeles Rams, star wide receiver Malik Nabers also suffered an injury.
New York's WR1 injured his shoulder midway through the second quarter, when he was seen going up for a pass while being contested by Rams cornerback Trent McDuffie. As they separated following the incompletion, Nabers began clutching his right arm. He then made his way to the sideline and went down to the ground while holding onto his shoulder and being looked at by trainers.
Nabers did return to the field later in the second quarter after undergoing grip and strength tests on the sideline. According to the New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy, Nabers told reporters he popped his shoulder back into place on the sideline.
Nabers entered 2026 hoping for better health after missing all but four games last season due to a torn ACL and meniscus. The 23-year-old made the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2024 after the Giants drafted him sixth overall — racking up 1,204 receiving yards on 109 catches and seven touchdowns through 15 appearances.
He entered Monday with six catches for 69 yards after New York's Week 1 win over the Cowboys.
As for Dart, he was sidelined during the first drive of the game due to a knee injury after taking a hit and landing awkwardly.
