Travis Hunter was touted as a generational two-way player, but the Jacksonville Jaguars may prefer to feature his skillset on one particular side of the ball.
The Jaguars listed Hunter as a starting wide receiver and a backup cornerback on the team's first depth chart of the season on Monday.
Hunter, 22, spent two seasons with the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023-24. He had 153 catches for 1,979 yards and 20 touchdowns. Hunter also finished with seven interceptions, 66 tackles and one forced fumble.
Drafted with the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, Hunter is expected to line up on offence opposite of WR Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville's standout first-round pick in 2024.
The Jaguars hired Liam Coen as head coach in January to improve an offence that ranked 26th in points per game last season.
