Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen will be the cover athlete for EA's Madden NFL 24 video game, it was announced Wednesday.
"A childhood dream come true," Allen tweeted after the announcement.
Named after legendary coach John Madden, the popular video game has had at least one player on the cover every year since 2001. The only exception was in 2022 when they featured Madden on the cover to honour his passing in December of 2021.
Allen becomes the first ever Bills player to be named cover athlete.
The 27-year-old quarterback is heading into his sixth season as the Bills' signal caller. Last season, he threw for 4,283 yards and 35 touchdowns in 16 regular season games. A dual-threat QB, Allen also racked up 762 yards on the ground and punched in seven touchdowns of his own.
Allen has had plenty of individual success with the Bills, but is still looking for his first Super Bowl appearance with Buffalo.
The Bills were ousted in the Divisional Round by Cincinnati Bengals last season.
