A legendary career is set to officially come to a close.
Longtime New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham indicated Tuesday that he plans to retire this season.
"What a journey," Graham wrote in a social media post, responding to a reporter for the team's website.
Graham, 38, last played in the NFL in 2023 after sitting out the prior season.
He'll end his career with 197 games played, including 91 with the Saints.
The University of Miami product began his career with six seasons in New Orleans after being selected by the team in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Graham, a former basketball player, quickly became a force at his position, making six Pro Bowl teams and two all-pro teams.
He led the NFL with 16 receiving touchdowns in 2013, when he also racked up 1,215 yards.
The Greensboro, N.C., native totalled 89 touchdowns for his career. He twice eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving and had a career-high 99 catches in 2011.
After his time with the Saints, Graham spent three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and two apiece with the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.
