Musical acts take centre stage on early Super Bowl props

Grammy-nominated country music artist Mickey Guyton has been tapped to perform the national anthem ahead of next week's Super Bowl 56 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and whether her rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner goes OVER or UNDER 95 seconds is one of the early wagers available for the game at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Guyton has been listed at -120 odds on both sides of the annual Super Bowl national anthem prop bet, with the OVER/UNDER pegged at a modest 95 seconds. At last year's Super Bowl it was Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church performing the anthem, and they turned in an OVER result with their two-minute, 17-second rendition of the song. Demi Lovato paid off for UNDER bettors on the Super Bowl 54 props, performing the anthem in one minute and 49 seconds.

The UNDER has now paid out on the Super Bowl anthem wager in three of the last five years, including at Super Bowl 51 when Luke Bryan performed The Star-Spangled Banner in two minutes and four seconds, and at Super Bowl 52 when Pink completed the song in one minute and 52 seconds. Gladys Knight went two minutes and one second at Super Bowl 53.

Meanwhile, the Super Bowl halftime show this year brings together five famous musical acts, with Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige set to share the stage at SoFi Stadium. Mary J. Blige has been listed as the +150 betting favourite to be the first to perform, followed by Lamar (+225), Snoop Dogg (+325), Dr. Dre (+450), and Eminem (+500).

Any part of Eminem's performance being censored is set at -175 odds for Yes and +135 odds for No, and Lose Yourself is the +250 favourite to be the first song he performs ahead of My Name Is (+275) and The Real Slim Shady (+300). The OVER/UNDER for total songs performed by the five artists during the halftime show this year is pegged at 7.5, with the OVER the -170 betting favourite and the UNDER a +140 underdog on that Super Bowl prop.
