The NFL off-season action really begins to pick up on Tuesday with the 4 p.m. ET franchise tag deadline.
With free agency set to begin next week, teams across the league had until Tuesday’s deadline to use the tag on their own pending free agents, stopping those players from hitting free agency.
When the dust settled at 4 p.m. ET, nine players in total were franchise-tagged, including some surprises and big-name pending free agents.
