Star running back Christian McCaffrey is expected to miss the Carolina Panthers' Week 12 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, per coach Matt Rhule.

It will be the third straight game missed by McCaffrey due to a shoulder injury. He suffered the injury in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs after being tackled late in the fourth quarter. That came after McCaffrey missed six games with a high ankle sprain.

Rhule told reporters last week that he expects McCaffrey will play again this season, but he doesn't know when.

The 2019 All-Pro has rushed for 225 yards and five touchdowns in three games this season.
