San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk has been fined $14,926 for an offensive demonstration in a 35-13 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday.
Juszczyk's "offensive demonstration" happened when he pretended to chug a drink with his hands after scoring a touchdown.
"Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter.
Schefter reported that Juszczyk will be appealing the fine.
"I don't even drink beer," Juszczyk said in a text to Schefter.
Juszczyk has celebrated touchdowns and first downs his entire NFL career by pretending to chug, a way to pay tribute to his nickname "Juice."
This is the first time he has been fined for the celebration.
It is also the fullback's second fine of the season, as he was also dinged $20,033 for unnecessary roughness and use of the helmet on a third-quarter play in San Francisco’s 27-7 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.
