The Indianapolis Colts are bringing back their serious deep threat.
Wide receiver Alec Pierce is reportedly returning to Indy on a four-year contract worth $116 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday. The deal would be the largest signed by a free-agent wide receiver.
Pierce gets a major payday after posting the first 1,000-yard season of his career, totalling 1,003 yards and six touchdowns.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Pierce's new deal will include $84 million in guarantees and $60 million guaranteed at signing.
The 25-year-old reached the 1,000-yard benchmark on just 47 catches, giving him a league-leading 21.3 yards per catch. He was also tops in that category in 2024 at 22.3. He finished second on the Colts for receiving touchdowns behind only No. 1 WR Michael Pittman Jr., while leading the team in receiving yards, despite ranking fourth in total targets (84).
Pierce, a 2022 second-round pick by the Colts, has 157 grabs for 2,934 yards and 17 TDs in his four-year career.
