Cincinnati Bengals star receiver Tee Higgins wants out, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Schefter said Monday that Higgins has requested a trade after about a year with no talks about a long-term extension.
The Bengals gave Higgins a franchise tag in late February. He has a one-year tender offer worth approximately $21.8 million. Higgins and the team have until July 15 to come to a long-term agreement.
Higgins' numbers were down last year as he missed five games due to injuries. The Bengals also lost star quarterback Joe Burrow to injury.
A second-round pick in 2020, Higgins had consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in 2021 and '22.
The Bengals advanced to the Super Bowl and AFC Championship those years with Higgins as a top target for Burrow.
