The Arizona Cardinals are expected to be without starting running back Kenyan Drake for multiple weeks due to an ankle injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Drake reportedly suffered a slight tear of a ligament in his ankle but the team is treating it as a high ankle sprain. The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter of Arizona's Week 7 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
The 26-year-old has 119 carries for 512 yards and four touchdowns in seven games this season. Chase Edmonds, who has 176 yards and a touchdown on 65 carries, figures to see an increased role with Drake sidelined.
