The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly finalizing deals to extend coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
The new six-year contracts would keep Reid and Veach with the reigning Super Bowl champions until the 2025 season.
Reid has served as head coach for Kansas City since 2013 and received his first Super Bowl ring with the team last season. He is one of nine NFL coaches to win 200 games during the 2018 season.
During his time coaching the Chiefs, Reid has a 77-35 record with a .688 winning percentage.
Veach became general manager of Kansas City in 2017 after previously serving as the co-director of player development and a pro and college personnel analyst for the team. The 42-year-old is credited for keeping the core of the Chiefs together during this offseason, which included extending quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive tackle Chris Jones.
Mahomes seemed to approve of the move, tweeting out “well deserved!” on Monday night.
