The Kansas City Chiefs have placed running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the injured reserve list due to his high ankle sprain, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The third-year tail back will now miss a minimum of four weeks.
After recording a couple of carries for nine yards, Edwards-Helaire exited the Chiefs' Week 12 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night.
This is not Edwards-Helaire’s first go-around with ankle injuries. He missed time in the 2020 season following an ankle sprain, as well as the 2021 pre-season with the same injury.
The 23-year-old has ran 71 times for 302 yards and three touchdowns in his 10 appearances during the 2022 season.
