Another rookie quarterback won't in Week 3.
Indianapolis Colts star rookie Anthony Richardson missed his third consecutive practice on Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday.
Veteran signal caller Gardner Minshew will start in his place.
Richardson left the Colts' Week 2 win over the Houston Texans after he suffered a concussion while scoring his second rushing touchdown of the first quarter.
Following a strip-sack of Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, Richardson ran the next play 15 yards to the house, but took a big hit from safety M.J. Steward as he crossed the goal line.
Richardson popped up from the play celebrating and stayed on the field for the rest of the quarter. However, early in the second quarter, last year’s fourth-overall pick went to the medical tent and eventually the locker room for further evaluation before he was ruled out for the game with a concussion.
Replays of the touchdown run show that Richardson’s head whipped back into the field as he landed on his back.
Minshew came in and helped the Colts to a 31-20 win.
