The Philadelphia Eagles may be without one of their top pass catchers for the next few weeks.
Tight end Dallas Goedert has reportedly suffered a sprained MCL and is expected to miss multiple weeks of action, according to ESPN's Ian Rapoport on Monday.
The nine-year NFL veteran has once again been a key fixture in Philadelphia's offence to begin the 2026 season. Through the first two weeks, Goedert has collected a pair of touchdowns with 81 yards on five receptions.
Both of those scores came in the Eagles' Week 1 win over the Washington Commanders.
In 2025, the 31-year-old hauled in a career-best 11 touchdowns and 60 catches in 15 games for Philadelphia.
The Eagles' next four games come against the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers. Next up on their tight end depth chart is veteran Johnny Mundt.
Philadelphia also dipped into the free-agent pool to add some depth at the position.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles signed three-time Pro Bowler Zach Ertz to their practice squad.
The 35-year-old Ertz spent nine seasons with Philadelphia from 2013 to 2021 and is just 11 catches away from breaking the franchise reception record.
Ertz spent 2025 with the Commanders, catching 50 passes for 504 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games.
