The Philadelphia Eagles are running out of running backs.
Will Shipley could miss multiple weeks with a partial tear of his plantar fascia that he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday.
Shipley was filling in at running back for the Eagles while starter Saquon Barkley is out with a hamstring injury. Fellow backup Tank Bigsby is on injured reserve with a core muscle injury.
The 24-year-old Shipley has rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown through five games this season. He has already had more rushing attempts this year than he did through 15 games last season.
The next two running backs on the Eagles' depth chart are Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele.
Philadelphia hosts the Carolina Panthers next Sunday.
