Just one day after he was cut by the Green Bay Packers, running back Aaron Jones hooked up with another team in the NFC North.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday that Jones will sign a one-year, $7-million deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
The Packers signed former Las Vegas Raiders star running back Josh Jacobs on Monday, spelling the end for Jones in Green Bay.
Jones, 29, had his least productive year since his rookie season in 2023, finishing with 656 rushing yards. He is a three-time 1,000-yard rusher.and made the Pro Bowl in 2020.
The Athletic reported the Packers wanted Jones to take a 50-per-cent paycut on the final year of a four-year contract, but the two sides couldn't come to an agreement.
