Starting quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a knee injury in a Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, and news emerged Tuesday that it is worse than originally thought.
The MCL injury could keep him out for the season, ESPN's Ian Rapoport reported. At best, it will keep him out for an extended period of time.
The team ran further tests on Dart on Tuesday.
Dart was hurt on the first series of the game and replaced by Jameis Winston.
The Giants upset the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night of Week 1, but the team's outlook totally changed eight days later.
The Giants host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
