The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to deal with injuries to their wideouts.
Star Brian Thomas Jr., who's been dealing with an ankle injury suffered last Sunday, has been ruled out for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Houston Texans, the Jags announced on Friday.
Thomas Jr. failed to log any participation in practice throughout the week.
The Jaguars are already without second-overall pick Travis Hunter after he was placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury. But the team picked up another playmaker ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, acquiring wide receiver Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Meyers will lead the room alongside Parker Washington, Dyami Brown and Tim Patrick. Brown and Patrick were both on the injury report during the week, but were limited to full participants in practice and are expected to be good to go.
Thomas Jr., the 23rd pick in 2024, was a key contributor to the historic rookie receiving class that saw four pass catchers eclipse 1,000 yards.
The 23-year-old registered 87 catches for 1,282 and 10 touchdowns last season, but he has struggled to produce at a similar level in 2025.
Through eight games this year, Thomas Jr. has just 30 catches for 420 yards and one score, while the offence as a whole ranks 21st in points and 16th in passing yards.
