The New York Jets are expected to part ways with head coach Adam Gase after their season comes to an end on Sunday, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Gase has a 9-22 record over two seasons with New York. The Jets were in jeopardy of posting a winless campaign in 2020 but have reeled off consecutive victories to take them out of contention for the first-overall draft pick in 2021.
The following candidates are reported to be among Gase’s possible replacements: Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy, Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale, Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and Rams defensive coordinator Brandon Staley.
College coaches such as Iowa State’s Matt Campbell, Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh and Florida’s Dan Mullen are also potential options, per Rapoport and Pelissero.
New York closes its season with a Week 17 matchup against the New England Patriots.
