The New York Jets have granted quarterback Zach Wilson permission to seek a trade, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday.
Wilson, 24, was selected second overall by the Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft, but has struggled to find consistency since joining the league.
After starting QB Aaron Rodgers ruptured his left Achilles tendon in the season opener, Wilson was given a more prominent role with the Jets. He started in 11 games and threw 2,271 yards for eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.
More to come.
