The Chicago Bears have locked down another key piece of their defence.
The Bears reportedly agreed to a two-year, $20-million extension with linebacker T.J. Edwards, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport on Wednesday.
Rapoport added that the deal includes $16.6 million guaranteed.
Edwards is a key piece in the middle of Chicago's defence alongside fellow LB Tremaine Edmunds, both of whom signed in the Windy City prior to the 2023 season.
The 28-year-old Edwards has started all 34 games for Chicago in his two seasons, registering four interceptions, 6.5 sacks, 284 tackles and 20 tackles for loss. He spent his first four seasons with the Eagles.
Edwards' extension comes a day after the Bears officially re-signed cornerback Kyler Gordon.
