Mike Evans is not ready to call it a career just yet.
His agents, Deryk Gilmore and Darren Jones, told ESPN’s Kimberly A. Martin that the future Hall of Famer plans to play next season and is exploring his options.
While Evans, 32, is leaving the door open for a return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he is also willing to test the open market.
Evans has spent his entire 12-year career with the Buccaneers after being selected seventh overall in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M.
The 2025 campaign marked the first time in his career that he did not eclipse the 1,000-yard receiving mark. It ended his streak at 11 straight seasons, as injuries played a major role in its ending.
Evans missed three games with a hamstring issue before suffering a broken collarbone on Oct. 20 against the Detroit Lions, limiting him to just eight appearances. He finished the season with 30 receptions for 362 yards and three touchdowns.
In his career, Evans has recorded 866 catches for 13,052 yards and 108 touchdowns. His yardage ranks 21st all-time and second among active players, trailing only DeAndre Hopkins.
The NFL’s legal tampering window opens March 9, with the new league year and official start of free agency set for March 11.
