The NFL will not test unvaccinated players daily for the balance of the playoffs, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.

Pelissero reports the NFL sent a memo to its teams on Friday informing them of the change.

Players will now only be subject to testing if they have symptoms.

Pelissero says that only about 12 unvaccinated players on the remaining eight teams in the playoffs have not had COVID-19.

ESPN reports 756 players and 478 staff members tested positive between Dec. 12 and Jan. 8.
