Rashan Gary's time with the Green Bay Packers has come to an end.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Green Bay is sending the defensive tackle to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
The Packers defender initially announced his departure from the team on his Instagram account on Friday, but NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the team didn't make a decision on his future at the time.
The Packers selected the edge rusher in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie extension worth $96 million back in 2027.
Gary registered 7.5 sacks in each of the last two seasons and totalled 46.5 over his career.
This is the second time the Packers and Cowboys have made a deal after Dallas traded Micah Parsons to Green Bay prior to the 2025 season.
Parsons is recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered back in Week 15. The pass rusher is targeting a return around Week 3 of the 2026 season, he told reporters back in January.
