One game was enough for Marcus Davenport.
The longtime NFL pass rusher retired after just a single appearance for the Chicago Bears, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday.
Davenport, 30, played 12 snaps Sunday against the New York Jets, recording one tackle, then asked for his release.
The 2018 first-round pick of the New Orleans Saints has suited up for four teams over his career, also including the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.
He finishes his career with 78 games played, 25 sacks, seven forced fumbles and 165 tackles.
