An All-Pro safety is on the move.
Kevin Byard and the New England Patriots are in agreement on a one-year, $9-million contract, per NFL insider Tom Pelissero on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old spent last season with the Chicago Bears, where he notched a league-high seven interceptions en route to earning his third Pro Bowl appearance and a first-team All-Pro nod.
Over 10 seasons with the Bears, Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles, Byard has totalled 36 picks, six sacks and 972 tackles.
His 36 picks are the most across the NFL since he joined the league in 2016.
Byard leaves the Bears to join the defending AFC champion Patriots.
