The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Norv Turner as a senior advisor for the team's remodelled offensive staff, the team announced Tuesday.
Scott Turner, Norv’s son, has also been named interim offensive coordinator after the team fired Luke Getsy on Monday.
Getsy was let go after a blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Norv Turner served as the Raiders head coach in the 2004 and 2005 seasons, registering a 9-23 record. His overall record as a head coach is 114-122-1 spanning 15 seasons.
Norv Turner last coached in the NFL in 2019 as the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers.
The Raiders hold a 2-7 record and are currently on a five-game losing streak.
