The Las Vegas Raiders will be without one of their top offensive players against the Indianapolis Colts.
Tight end Brock Bowers has been listed as inactive due to a knee injury, the team announced Sunday morning. Head coach Pete Carroll had previously expressed confidence in Bowers' ability to play through the injury, but that won't be the case.
"We figure he's playing. We think he's playing," Carroll said of Bowers on Friday. "But we wanted to make sure and rest him throughout. We have to list him as questionable, but he's planning on playing."
Bowers is battling a PCL injury and a bone bruise on his knee, and the Raiders will consider him week-to-week moving forward.
The 22-year-old has 19 receptions for 225 yards this season through four games. Last season, Bowers had 112 receptions for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns.
Las Vegas is coming off a tough 25-24 loss to the Chicago Bears, off a blocked field goal, which dropped them to 1-3 to start the season, the first with Carroll in charge.
Meanwhile, Bowers isn't the only tight end that'll miss time for the Raiders this week, as former second-rounder Michael Mayer remains out of the lineup due to a concussion.
