Jordyn Tyson's NFL debut isn't going to happen in Week 1.
The New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver is expected to miss about two months with a hamstring injury, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday.
He suffered the injury last week in practice.
Tyson was picked by the Saints with the No. 8 overall pick in the NFL Draft out of Arizona State. The 22-year-old WR caught 61 passes for 711 yards and four touchdowns in his last season with the Sun Devils.
But Tyson dealt with injury concerns in college, and that appears to have carried over into the beginning of his NFL career.
He was expected to come in and compete for the No. 2 WR job behind Chris Olave, but will have to work his way back into the offence once he's healthy instead.
The Saints open the 2026 season on Sept. 13 against the Detroit Lions.
