Malick Meiga is going to get a shot with the reigning Super Bowl champs.
The Canadian rookie wide receiver has agreed to a contract with the Seattle Seahawks after working out with the team on Tuesday, Justin Dunk of 3DownNation reported.
Meiga, born in Ivory Coast and raised in Saint-Jerome, Que., was waived with an injury designation by the Carolina Panthers after making one reception for the team in the pre-season as an undrafted free agent.
The six-foot-three Meiga played college football at Penn State and Coastal Carolina.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected Meiga in the second round of this year's CFL Draft.
