The Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver room has taken a big hit.
Michael Pittman Jr. has been placed on short-term injured reserve with a foot injury and will miss at least four games, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Saturday.
Pittman has appeared in three of Pittsburgh's four games this season, recording seven catches for 87 yards.
The 29-year-old missed the Steelers' Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. He was also ruled out for Pittsburgh's Week 5 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, the team he spent six seasons with before being traded to the Steelers in the off-season.
