The Houston Texans have closed their facility Wednesday after a player tested positive for COVID-19 late last night.

The player has self-isolated and the team's infection control officer and members of the infection response team are working with the NFL to perform contact tracing. The Texans will be conducting a deep cleaning to the facility Wednesday.

The Texans are off in Week 8 of the NFL calendar, but, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, are proceeding cautiously and testing all other players. While the team doesn't have a game this week, there is plenty of other staff in its facility.
