Dalton Schultz is sticking around H-Town for the foreseeable future.
The Houston Texans veteran tight end has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $12.6-million extension through the 2027 season, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Friday.
Schultz gets the extension on the heels of his most productive season through three years in Houston. The 29-year-old put up 777 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 82 receptions through 17 games in 2025.
He finished the season ranked third in receptions amongst tight ends and was sixth for targets and receiving yards.
Schultz was one of the top targets for Texans' third-year quarterback C.J. Stroud, leading the team in receptions and ranking second in receiving yards and tied third in receiving touchdowns.
The 2026 season was set to be the final in a three-year, $36-million deal Schultz signed with the Texans ahead of the 2024 campaign.
He was originally a fourth-round draft pick (2018) of the Dallas Cowboys, the team Schultz spent the first five seasons of his career with before leaving in free agency.
